Come to learn and jam bluegrass fiddle music! We learn to play, accompany and improvise on some traditional tunes. For string players with basic music skills. Content: We will follow on from the bluegrass fiddle workshop in the autumn and newcomers are welcome to join us. We’ll learn some new tunes as well as diving deeper into the style of bluegrass fiddle, this will also include listening to recordings of renowned bluegrass musicians. During the course, we’ll refresh our music theory knowledge, seeing how it can help us to accompany others as well as when improvising over chord progressions. Guitar and mandolin players are also welcome. You need to know basic chords in the keys of G, D and A major (C, G, D, A, E, Am, Bm, F#m). The music will be taught by ear but sheet music will be provided if needed.
