Kuvaus
In this course we will sing traditional folk songs about fishing, flowers, and courtship in a relaxed group setting open to both singers and instrumentalists. During the course you will learn English folk songs with a variety of topics and become familiar with the rich tapestry of English folk song. Instrumentalists are welcome to join to accompany the songs and play the melodies. The songs will be taught by ear and sheet music with lyrics will be provided. Along with the songs you will learn the history and context behind them including the stories of various folk singers and folk song collectors.
