Ruumen: Silo

Kuvaus

The ensemble Ruumen existed in 1995-2002 and was one of the first in Scandinavia to combine folk music with modern sampler technique and active mixing in dub style. The band started as a four man acoustic combo, but soon Teemu Korpipää joined with his samplers and the sound became more electric. Lempilevyt already a few years ago suggested that a record would be made and this year proudly presents Silo, 72 minutes of old liva and studio recordings.
The members of Ruumen were Kurt Lindblad (flutes), Tapani Varis (acoustic and electric bass, melodica, overtone flute, jew’s harp), Veikko Ojanlatva (Irish boyzouki, acoustic and electric guitar), Piia Kleemola (violin, viola) and Teemu Korpipää (electronics).
