In the music of Folkswagen, founded in Joensuu 2000, Russian, Carelian and Eastern Finnish influences meet up with rock, schlager and folk music. Veikko Lavi raises a toast with Arhippa Perttunen and Vladimir Vysotski, the Ostrobothnian landscapes of Lauri Tähkä & Elonkerjuu get its counterpart in the east.
