La Tierra Blanca (suom. Valkoinen maa) on espanjalaisen flamencoperinteen ja laulajan omien pohjoisten juurien välinen liitto. Oulusta lähtöisin olevan Murtolan musiikin sanoitukset ja teemat ammentavat pohjoisesta luonnon- ja mielenmaisemasta, henkilökohtaisista kokemuksista sekä menneisyyden tarinoista. Osin myös suomalaisesta kansanperinteestä.

La Tierra Blanca ("The White Land") is a union between the Spanish flamenco tradition and the singer's own northern roots. The lyrics and themes of Murtola's music, which originate from Northern Finland, draw from the northern natural and mental landscape, personal experiences and stories of the past. Even from Finnish folklore.
