Fifth soloalbum of Arto Järvelä. Theme is traditional music of Finlands Swedish speaking areas. The Swedish emigrants started to settle mainland already in the middle age. Homogenous Swedish speaking areas in Finland are Nyland (Southern Finland) and Åboland (South-West Finland), which were more open to the new influences, and Österbotten (Eastern part of Bothnia gulf i.e. Ostrobothnia) where old traditions are preserved until our days. Åland (Islands between Finland and Sweden) is fourth area which has been important route for the Finnish culture since the 12th century.
