Come to learn and jam Bluegrass Fiddle music! We learn how to improvise, accompany and play some traditional tunes. For string players with basic music skills. Content: You learn the history behind the Bluegrass music, tips on playing technique, music theory and style. This includes listening to recordings of classic Bluegrass fiddle players such as Kenny Baker, Stuart Duncan and Kimber Ludiker. Guitar and mandolin players are also welcome. You need to know basic chords in the keys of A, D and G major (D, G, A, C, E, Am, Bm). The music will be taught by ear but sheet music will be provided if needed. Educational aim: After the course the student will know how to improvise, accompany and play some traditional Bluegrass tunes. Thanks to this course the student will expand their musical approach to playing stringed instruments through learning a new genre.
