International Folk Dancing

Kuvaus

Each week we’ll learn new dances from various cultures featuring social dances from the UK and the Baltics. Most of the basic elements of the dances that we’ll learn are widespread in many circle dances, set dances and pair dances all over Europe. The workshops will be led by Eva Väljaots from Estonia and Robbie Sherratt from England who will also accompany the dancing with kannels, fiddle and bowed lyre. All are welcome and no prior experience is needed. Come with or without a dance partner. The course takes place on Thursdays from 19:30-20:30 starting on 12th January and ending on the 27th April.
