Garcia-Fons: Bari Kansanmusiikkia Taideyliopistosta Kansanmusiikkia Taideyliopistosta -konsertit ovat sarja Sibelius-Akatemian Kansanmusiikin aineryhmän tutkintokonsertteja. Aineryhmän opiskelijat lähestyvät esityksissään kansanmusiikkia erilaisista näkökulmista. Konserttien sisällöt ja ideat kumpuavat niin vanhoista runoista ja perinteestä, henkilökohtaisista havainnoista ja tunteista, kuin oman musiikillisen matkan varrella tapahtuneista muutoksista. Vuosittain järjestettävissä konserttikokonaisuuksissa pääsee kurkistamaan kansanmusiikin nykyhetkeen ja nauttimaan musiikista kaikin aistein mitä erilaisimmin kokoonpanoin ja instrumentein tarjoiltuna.

Garcia-Fons: Bari About the concert The concert will be an exploration of the polyphonic options of the accordion, with a central focus on the intertwining melodies between the two sides of the accordion. The melodies become interwoven with each other, obscuring what is the main motif and what is the accompanying harmony. The melodic bass side offers the best possibilities musically for Lorenzen, which is why it is used exclusively in this concert. In the concert these counter melodies will be heard used in everything from his own compositions to the baroque music of J. S. Bach. The concert will be a division between solo performances and performances in different duos. Lorenzen will be joined by the wonderful musicians Heli Hartikainen, Aida Salakka and Tero Bombero, who all will bring something uniquely theirs to contribute to the music.
